9 Israeli Troops Killed in 24 hrs. Amid Fierce Confrontations in Gaza

The Palestinian Resistance factions continue to confront the Israeli forces' incursion in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced in a statement on Monday that it launched a rocket barrage at “Tel Aviv” in response to Israeli massacres against Palestinian civilians.

Israeli media reported that eight rockets were fired toward “Gush Dan” from the southern Gaza Strip, with five landing in the central region. Sirens sounded in 37 locations, including “Rishon Lezion”, “Tel Aviv”, “Holon”, “Lod”, “Yavne”, “Ashdod”, and various areas in southern and central occupied Palestine.

According to Israeli media, despite the Israeli military claiming to have reduced its forces in Gaza and discussing the “destruction of several Hamas brigades,” it acknowledged that the Palestinian Resistance group still possesses the capability to launch rockets toward “Tel Aviv”.

In its daily report on the ongoing battles against the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, the Al-Qassam Brigades stated that their snipers targeted an Israeli soldier using the al-Ghoul sniper rifle east of the al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The statement also mentioned thwarting an Israeli attempt to release a captive in the Al-Bureij camp. According to Al-Qassam, an Israeli special force infiltrated an area where they believed an Israeli captive was located. The attempted operation was repelled, resulting in casualties among the Israeli forces and the seizure of some of their belongings.

The Brigades confirmed that members of an Israeli force were killed and injured inside a house in the al-Mahatta area of Khan Younis city.

In a related context, Israeli media described Monday as one of the toughest days for the Israeli army in the ongoing war.

Israeli sources reported that nine Israeli officers and soldiers were killed, and others were injured in two attacks during the past 24 hours amid the battles in the Gaza Strip. The sources mentioned that one of the attacks was carried out by detonating an Israeli military truck, resulting in the death and injury of the officers and soldiers.

The Israeli Maariv newspaper reported that three months into the war, partial data on soldier injuries is now being revealed, with approximately 3,221 soldiers wounded since the start of the war. Among them, about 2,335 soldiers were admitted to hospitals, including 155 soldiers with eye injuries and 298 with hearing impairments.

The Medical Corps of the Israeli army revealed that a quarter of the soldiers treated at specialized clinics, approximately 9,000 soldiers, for psychological issues since October 7 have not returned to the battlefield in Gaza.

A couple of days ago, Israeli media reported on the Israeli Ministry of Security’s expectation that around 12,500 Israeli soldiers would suffer permanent disabilities as a result of the war in Gaza.
