Dani Alves: From jail, the footballer gives his first interview

After five months in prison (January 20), Dani Alves has decided to give his first interview from jail and broadcast his version about what happened that night in December at the “Sutton” nightclub.

Accused of rape, the Brazilian soccer player continues to be detained despite all the efforts and evidence presented by his lawyer. That is why he has decided to break the silence and did so in conversation with The vanguard.

“I want people to know what I think, to know the story from what I experienced that morning in that bathroom. They have nothing to do with what happened. Until now, a very scary story of fear and terror has been explained It has nothing to do with what I did”says Alves.

Dani Alves, 40, is in provisional prison for an open case for an alleged crime of sexual assault. A young woman accuses him of having allegedly forced him to have sex in the bathrooms of the aforementioned place, at the end of December.

“There is not a single mark on her body that explains the violence with which she says that I moved her in the bathroom… There has not been a single night that I have not slept peacefully. I don’t know if she has a clear conscience and if she sleeps well at night… But I forgive her.”he threw blunt.

Dani Alves has been accused of giving different versions of what happened that night and that situation has affected him in the trial; however, he explains that she did it out of fear.

“I was afraid of losing Joana (his wife) and that’s why I lied. I fought desperately to save my marriage from infidelity, regardless of the consequences I’m paying… The only person I have to apologize to is Joana Sanz,” he added.
