European Council May Impose Restrictions on Turkey Regime

During an interview with “France Inter” radio, Rester said, “Turkey is playing a shameful role by exploiting the speech of the President of the Republic or the positions of France in order to harm France and the values that France holds.”

French Trade Minister Frank Riester warned that the next European Council will look into the Turkey’s attitude and may impose restrictions on it due to its “unacceptable” behavior in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

“We want Turkey to change and change its expansionist behavior in the eastern Mediterranean with the exploration operations that undermine the sovereignty of Cyprus and Greece,” he added.

He pointed out that “this is the rhetoric carried by Europe, not just France, and this is the reason that once again in the next European Council, the Turkish question will be addressed to see how we can increase the pressure on it a little more or even much more, because Turkey’s Regime behavior, especially in what is related to the Nagorny-Karabakh crisis is unacceptable. “

Rester also called on Ankara to “stop this behavior, especially in North Africa where weapons are smuggled” and to “stop using the issue of immigration against Europe. We know very well that it is playing on that chord and this is no longer possible.”
