Libyan Parties to Meet in Geneva to Appoint New Presidential Council

Libyan conflicting parties will meet in Geneva, Switzerland, to appoint a new presidential council and a prime minister with two deputies, said advisor of the Parliament Speaker, Fathi Al-Marimi.

The meeting will be held next October, he noted.

He added that the assigned to appoint the presidential council will be approved by the parliament.

“The new government will be formed in order to unify Libyan institutions, especially economic and financial,” Al Mariama said.

Following that, the leader of the Libyan National Army (LNA) Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar announced on Friday the reopening of oil ports and the resumption of the production.
