Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp mocks Manchester United

Liverpool landed in Bangkok on Sunday ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against Manchester United – and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could not resist a dig at Manchester United.

A press conference was held at the airport shortly after Liverpool touched down in Thailand ahead of Tuesday’s pre-season clash against Manchester United.

But before any of the press could get a word in for Jurgen Klopp or his players, the Liverpool boss said: “First question I have…did it look like this yesterday when Manchester United was here as well?” A few cries of “no, no” could be heard in response.

But both United and Liverpool were met by incredible scenes over the weekend, as hundreds of excited fans and plenty of cameras were in place at Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports to greet each of the two English teams.

Manchester United will take on Liverpool at the Rajamangala National Stadium on Tuesday afternoon, in a game which kicks off at 2pm UK time.
