Out of contract in 2023: The best free agents available on a Bosman

While much of the buzz around potential free transfers this summer is based on players whose contracts already expired in 2022, many of the biggest stars in the world will see their current deals run out next year.

Now that we are in July 2022, teams are starting to get into some uncertain territory with regards to some star players.

This provides a conundrum for numerous clubs around Europe, as they know that their players’ values will rapidly decrease the closer their contracts get to the expiry date.

This has resulted in a number of top players already being sold in 2022 who had contracts expiring the following years, such as Robert Lewandowski, Raheem Sterling, Sadio Mane and Kalidou Koulibaly.

But many more big names are now into the final years of their contracts. Will they be sold this summer or in January, or will they run down their deals?

FootballTransfers has compiled a list of the best free agents available in 2023. Clubs will be able to negotiate with these players freely from January 2023.

We have taken our data from Transfermarkt.

Which players are available on a Bosman in the summer of 2023?
