Yemen Vows to Continue Operations in Support of Gaza During Ramadan

For the 22nd consecutive week, demonstrations persist in Yemen, advocating for Palestinians and urging an end to the aggression against Gaza.

Mass demonstrations took place in Yemen on Friday, in a show of solidarity with the Palestinian people, condemning the ongoing Israeli genocidal attacks on Gaza.

Yemenis in the governorates of Saada, Raymah, and Marib have gathered in various squares for the 22nd consecutive week, rallying in support of the Palestinian people and their resistance in Gaza.

The demonstrators hoisted Palestinian and Yemeni flags, echoing chants such as, “Our nation, oh our nation… Al-Aqsa is under our protection,” “No retreat, no disgrace,” and “Our strikes are escalating… Sanaa and Gaza are one,” among other slogans of solidarity.

The leader of the Ansar Allah movement,  Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, confirmed on Thursday the significant role that supporting fronts from the Axis of Resistance have played in the past few months.

Al-Houthi said, “We seek to offer Palestine more than we have given to ourselves, our country, and our people,” adding that the Yemeni people have moved to support the Palestinian cause more than they have moved toward their cause, themselves, and their oppression.

He provided statistics indicating that protests and demonstrations in support of Palestine in Yemen totaled 2,539, while events reached 26,770. Additionally, popular and community vigils amounted to 76,051, student vigils in universities and schools totaled 148,299, and evening vigils amounted to 40,969.

Unwavering Yemeni support for Yemen

The statement from the demonstrations in the Yemeni governorates of Saada, Raymah, and Marib on Friday praised the escalation of operations against the Israeli occupation across all resistance fronts in Yemen, Lebanon, and Iraq.

The statement also praised “the operations of the Yemeni armed forces targeting Israeli ships and US and UK military assets.”

It also warned, “against the use of humanitarian aid by the Israeli and American enemies as clear bait to kill the Palestinians.”

It announced its commitment to continue supporting Resistance operations in solidarity with the Gaza Strip and the Resistance throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Moreover, it praised specific world leaders for their honorable and humanitarian stance in condemning the severe acts of aggression perpetrated by Zionist and American forces against the Palestinian people.

The statement called for a “boycott of American and Israeli goods and the companies that support them, especially with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.”
