Israel renews aggression on Yemen, targets civilian infrastructure

The Israeli occupation has carried out a series of airstrikes on Yemen's capital, Sanaa, targeting the Yemeni Petroleum Company and Haziz Power Station.

Israeli warplanes targeted key civilian infrastructure, including the vital Haziz power station, which supplies electricity to homes, hospitals, and critical services, causing widespread destruction and power outages across the city. The government also described the attack on a fuel station as an attempt to “paralyze daily life and create the illusion of victory amid rising plumes of smoke.”

The statement condemned the assault as a “flagrant violation of Yemen’s sovereignty” and “a new war crime added to Israel’s black record,” stressing that the aggression is part of “Israel’s” ongoing campaign against the Arab and Islamic world, supported directly by the United States.

It further warned that “Israel” and Washington bear full responsibility for the consequences of the strikes, including casualties, property damage, and destruction of vital infrastructure.

The government reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza, vowing that Israeli bombardments would not deter Yemen from its “legitimate and unwavering stance” in defense of Palestine.

“Supporting Palestine is a religious, national, and humanitarian duty; a red line that cannot be compromised,” the statement said.

Finally, the government stressed Yemen’s right, as a sovereign state, to defend its land and people, and to respond to Israeli attacks “with all necessary measures to safeguard national security.”

Ansar Allah has broad and well-defined list of Israeli targets: Official

A Yemeni official source told our reporters that the attacks on civilian infrastructure are reckless and will not lessen Yemen’s support for Gaza, emphasizing that their weapons will continue to reach the occupied Palestinian territories unimpeded by any defensive systems.

The source emphasized that Yemen’s military capabilities are continuously developing and that the Israeli occupation is spreading inaccurate information following Yemen’s top-tier operations.

They added that Yemen has successfully enforced a naval blockade against “Israel”, declaring that it will not be limited to this measure but will instead continue its operations toward various areas of occupied Palestine. The source also warned that “the Israeli criminals must halt their aggression and siege on Gaza, for the Yemeni Armed Forces will not stop at Lydd Airport.”

The official clarified that Ansar Allah has a broad and well-defined list of targets across the occupied Palestinian territories, adding that Yemen’s air defenses had surprised the enemy by successfully countering the attack today.

The source concluded by stressing that “the impact of the Yemeni army’s operations extends beyond the security sphere to the economic, military, and social spheres, and is also affecting the enemy’s infrastructure.”
