Brutal murder of a footballer: beheaded and dismembered with a chainsaw

The football world is in mourning. The young player of 19 years Hugo Vinicius Skulny Pedrosa has been found dismembered and decapitated in the Igautemi river in Sete Quedas, in the state of Mato Grosso, in Brazil. He was one of the great promises of Brazilian soccer.

The Sete Quedas striker disappeared on June 25 after attending a party with his friends. Once he finished the party, his friends dropped him off at his girlfriend’s house, but then they lost track of him. His grandmother, with whom the young player lived, spoke to him the night of his disappearance and did not notice anything strange. The next morning, his mother reported him missing and the security forces proceeded to search for him.

After several days of uncertainty, the remains of the young Brazilian were found in the river, specifically, the hip, torso, and thigh. His head hasn’t turned up yet, though the search isn’t over yet.

The chief inspector of the civil police, Lucelia Constantino, has confirmed that there is a detainee for the crime, an ex-girlfriend of the player, and that the young man’s head remains to be found. However, They have been able to identify the body of Hugo Vinicius Skulny Pedrosa by a tattoo that was made in memory of his late father. The parts of the body were transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine and Odontology (IMOL) for further analysis.

The Police after the first investigations affirmed that the soccer player was probably the victim of a crime of passion, emphasizing that he was killed with three shots and that the body would then be dismembered into small pieces with an electric saw and a band saw.

“The 21-year-old (former partner of Hugo Vinicius) It is a key element to clarify the case. The player showed up at his house and was executed there, he may have some kind of involvement in the crime,” said the person in charge of the investigation on the Brazilian portal G1, from the Globo group.
