Hariri presents his government formation to President Aoun

Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri said that he presented his cabinet lineup to President Michel Aoun this evening, Wednesday.

Hariri said, “The atmosphere is positive, and I will meet President Aoun again.”

Political sources revealed, earlier, that the Lebanese Prime Minister-designate, Saad Hariri, decided to present to President Michel Aoun, in a ministerial format that includes 18 ministers, immediately after the conclusion of the international conference to provide humanitarian aid to the Lebanese.

He added, “Aoun will study the formation, and there is great hope that the government will be formed soon,” he added. “It has presented a complete formation consisting of 18 ministers with specializations, regardless of party affiliation.

It is noteworthy that Hariri was assigned to form a new government on October 22, after he was named in the binding parliamentary consultations by 65 deputies, out of 120, and the assignment came about a year after Hariri submitted the resignation of his government following popular protests.

It is noteworthy that Lebanon suffers from a financial and economic crisis, the decline of the national currency against the dollar, the seizure of deposits by banks, the high rate of poverty, unemployment, and the suspicion of the Lebanese in the political class.
