Iraqi resistance attacks two US bases in Syria

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that it attacked the American bases of Al-Omar and Al-Shaddadi fields deep in Syria, using drone strikes.

A correspondent in Syria reported hearing the sounds of explosions from inside the American base in the city of Al-Shaddadi, south of Al-Hasakah Governorate, noting that the US air defense systems attempted to repel the attack.

further reported that the “Green Village”, which contains the housing of American forces at the base of the Al-Omar oil field in the Deir Ezzor countryside, was also targeted.

Ash Shadadi occupation base is just one kilometer southeast of the city of al-Shadadi; it has helipads and is equipped to launch all sorts of drones.

As for the Al-Omar field base, it is located in the workers’ city of the Al-Omar oil field in the Deir Ezzor countryside. It is the largest American base.

According to the White House, attacks on US forces in the Ain al-Assad base by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq over the weekend are being taken “extremely seriously.”

White House Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer called it a “Serious attack” on Sunday, emphasizing that the attack was carried out using “a capability of ballistic missiles that posed a genuine threat.”

Sources told that the attack encompassed several large caliber rockets fired from multiple directions toward the airbase. Moreover, our sources revealed that at least 10 rockets directly hit the airbase’s wing or its vicinity.

The United States military has come under constant attacks in Syria and Iraq since October 17. The majority of the 140+ operations have been adopted by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a collection of Islamic Resistance factions that operate under a collective wing.

Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh admitted earlier this week that US forces in the region came under attack 140 times. Speaking during a press briefing on Thursday, Singh disclosed that the attacks have been “persistent and alarming.”

“To date, there have been approximately 140 attacks on US troops in Iraq and Syria: 57 attacks in Iraq and 83 attacks in Syria,” she stated.

The Pentagon has reported a significant toll on its personnel, with nearly 70 military members wounded and one non-combatant contractor losing their life as a result of these attacks.

Iraqi Resistance fighters and the Yemeni Armed Forces, have worked relentlessly to target Israeli sites located hundreds of kilometers away from launching points in the last 3 months. These factions have done so in support of Palestinian people who have been subjected to an unprecedented brutal aggression that has killed nearly 25,105 martyrs, while the number of injured has increased to 62,681.
