Israeli forces bomb a school in Gaza, killing 30 people

Thirty citizens were killed and dozens injured early Monday morning when the Israeli occupation forces bombed a school housing displaced persons in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City. Strikes continue across the Strip amid a worsening humanitarian crisis.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces committed a horrific massacre against the displaced people at the Fahmi Al-Jarjawi School in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, killing 25 citizens and injuring many others as a result of the fires that broke out in the tents.
They reported that charred bodies and the screams of displaced people, their bodies engulfed in flames, could be seen from the site of the bombing.
Videos circulating of the fires raging in the school tents showed a large number of children among the dead and wounded.
Elsewhere in the besieged Strip, one civilian was martyred and others were wounded when Israeli forces struck a tent sheltering displaced families inside a kindergarten in al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The occupation also carried out a wave of home demolitions and airstrikes across various neighborhoods and towns.
At least 53,939 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s genocidal war since October 2023, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.
A ministry statement said that 38 bodies were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 204 people were injured, taking the number of injuries to 122,797 in the Israeli onslaught.
Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them, it added.
The Israeli army resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18 and has since killed 3,785 people and injured 10,756 others, shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January.
