Mohamed Salah sets new Premier League record

The Premier League season may have just started, but Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has already set a new record after scoring on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds endured a shaky start to the new campaign after coming from behind twice to rescue a 2-2 draw at newly-promoted Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Egyptian forward grabbed the equaliser the Reds in the second half, which secured the point on the day.

Salah has now scored in six consecutive opening-day fixtures in the Premier League, which no other player has done before.

Overall, the Egyptian forward has now scored eight Premier League goals on the opening and has joined an elite list of players.

Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard are the only other players to have scored eight Premier League goals on the opening day of the season.
