Russia And China Affirm Support For Stability In the Middle East

Russia and China affirmed, on Thursday, their support for stability in the Middle East and the need to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.
The Kremlin published a joint statement by the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China, marking the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory in the Great Patriotic War, China’s victory in the War of Resistance, and the founding of the United Nations.
The statement affirmed “the two countries’ determination to continue deepening their comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction in the new era,” emphasizing that “the security of states must not be achieved at the expense of the security of others.”
The statement emphasized “the importance of preserving the historical memory of World War II and supporting stability in the Middle East, emphasizing the need to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and rejecting terrorism in all its forms.”
Moscow and Beijing called for “the world’s countries’ commitment to the principle of equal and indivisible security, the peaceful settlement of disputes, and the building of a comprehensive and sustainable global security system.”
