Shooting Operation in Israeli Settlement Leaves 4 Dead, 4 Injured
Israeli media reports a shooting operation near the occupation's "Eli" settlement in the West Bank, and confirms the death of four settlers while four others remain in critical condition.
Israeli media confirmed that four Israelis were killed after a shooting operation near the “Eli” settlement in the occupied West Bank.
According to Israeli Channel 13, the Palestinian conducting the shooting operation used an M-16 rifle and fired extensively for an extended period of time.
Israeli media also reported that 4 settlers have been killed and 4 others were injured and were considered to be in critical condition. Moreover, it was reported that the operation was carried out in two different locations.
Israeli media showed great concern as it claimed that the operation “was carried out easily and with a firearm,” and noting that “the West Bank is full of these weapons.”
The operation was carried out meticulously as Israeli media reported that “all those killed in the Eli operation were shot in the head,” and that “the shooters opened fire on the settlement’s guard and continued shooting at drivers and toward a restaurant.”
Following the operation, Israeli Occupation Forces began to comb the area and search for the shooter, while also searching for a possible second shooter as helicopters were brought in to partake in the primary search operations and are possibly chasing the first shooter.
This comes one day after the IOF fell into an ambush in Jenin as they aimed to conduct an operation in the Palestinian city.
It was also noted that Israeli Police Minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, and the Israeli Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, headed to the operation’s location.
