Mohamed Salah opens up on relationship with Jurgen Klopp and ‘biggest goal’ at Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has revealed the Champions League is his favourite trophy he has won during his successful time with Liverpool.

The Egyptian saw his dreams turned to reality when the Reds beat Tottenham Hotspur in the 2019 Champions League final in Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

Salah opened the scoring in the opening stages of the game in the Spanish capital after he fired a penalty past Spurs captain Hugo Lloris before Divock Origi secured the win.

When talking to former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand on Between The Lines, Salah said of the Champions League win: “I think it was my biggest goal because when I was young, when I was a kid I was always watching the Champions League more than the Premier League or any other league.

“Champions League was the biggest competition in that time, I think it still is. It was my dream just to play in it one day, but to play and win it is unbelievable.
