Disagreement in the Libyan Dialogue hosted by Tunisia

The Libyan Dialogue Forum that is taking place in Tunisia that there is “a deep disagreement among a number of attendees about making the city of Sirte the seat of the executive authority.”

In a statement to The Libya Address Journal on Wednesday, an informed source, who preferred not to be named, said that the understandings and drafting committee formed by the interlocutors witnessed “a deep disagreement of Sirte being the seat of the government and the new presidential council.” Mediators had suggested moving the executive authority out of Tripoli temporarily until an agreement is reached on a solution regarding the armed groups that control it.
