Libyan Embassy in Niger announces its defection from the Tripoli-based Government of Fayez al-Sarraj and its affiliation to the Libyan Government authorized by the House of Representatives (HoR).

The charge d’affaires of the Libya embassy in Niger, Abdullah Bashir, announced the embassy’s defection from the Tripoli-based Government of Fayez al-Sarraj (GNA), and that is due to GNA’s dependent on a force aimed at destabilizing the security and stability of Libya, Bashir said.

In a recorded statement, Bashir announced the embassy’s affiliation to the Libyan Government authorized by the House of Representatives (HoR), affirming his support for the Libyan National Army (LNA) in its war against terrorism.

Bashir accused GNA of legitimizing the foreign invasion of Libya and dispossessing national decision, indicating that he is a representative of the state of Libya with all its spectrum and all its regions.
